An historical engagement ring from the early 20th century jewelry firm, Dreicer & Company. Their New York establishment, on 560 Fifth Avenue, was founded in 1910 and closed in the mid 1920’s. They were an elite jewelry firm with very few rivals. Their success came from creating beautiful diamond and platinum jewelry and their far reaching efforts to obtain not only large diamonds but the newest “state of the art” diamond shapes, such as Asscher and French cuts from Western Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. This beautiful ring the centers upon a diamond, cut in the Asscher style, weighs 2.33 cts., the handmade platinum mounting is accented throughout the gallery and ring by thirty-two round-cut diamonds, circa 1920, signed Dreicer & Co.
